Nashville, Tennessee, is the home of country music, health care, and a booming real estate industry. In fact, one would think the skyline cranes are the new Tennessee state bird! What many people forget when referencing the Volunteer State Capital is the food scene. From hot chicken and fluffy biscuits at little-know roadside hideaways to haute cuisine in The Gulch, Nashville’s food is as vibrant as it is varied, reflecting the homey flavors of the South, as well as the innovation of some of America’s finest up-and-coming chefs.

As our team continues to spread roots in Music City, we are excited to experience the ever-growing hospitality industry right outside our office doors. Whether it’s for a client coffee date, afternoon lunch, or company Christmas dinner, the restaurant selection is endless and delicious.

We’re often asked for recommendations by our Pennsylvania clients and friends. And we certainly have our favorites depending on the celebration or occasion. Check out our go-to destinations before your next business meeting or visit to middle Tennessee.

Coffee isn’t only good for you (antioxidants), but it’s our fuel and sets a welcoming tone at a business meeting. Grab a Cup of Joe at:

  1. Barista Parlor—Love the atmosphere, and the made-to-order coffee drinks. Treat yourself to a local chocolate bar.
  2. Frothy Monkey—In the heart of 12 South, this trendy yet inviting coffee shop offers homemade breakfasts, lunches, and even wine-pairing dinners. Lots of meetings happen here.
  3. Just Love Coffee—Located down the street from legendary Music Row, this quaint destination is a great central location. Have a specialty drink order? They got you covered!
  4. Killebrew—Enjoy the intimate and inviting atmosphere of the Thompson Nashville Hotel at this coffee shop in The Gulch.
  5. Red Bicycle—Take a short ride to the up-and-coming area of Germantown for their delicious crepe specialties. The Nutella banana crepe is a must-try with a fresh cup of coffee.

The South has a special charm and business meetings are turned into casual conversations with friends. For a memorable meeting, schedule an afternoon lunch at:

  1. The Farm Table—Walking distance from any downtown hotel, enjoy the homegrown tastes of Tennessee. The burger and chopped potatoes are always a great choice.
  2. Taqueria Del Sol—Fresh outdoor dining and amazing guacamole make this taco hotspot a DGG favorite.
  3. Burger Up—a staple for locals and visitors. Signature cocktails and locally sourced ingredients. The Woodstock burger is unreal and fries are divine. Don’t forget to ask for their homemade ketchup and honey mustard sauce.
  4. Peg Leg Porker—Tucked in a nook in The Gulch, this world-renowned BBQ place is a must-taste. Be sure to get a side of their creamy mac ‘n’ cheese.
  5. Bar Taco—Known for crafting one of the best margaritas in town. Tacos, guacamole, and ice cream are staples at this coastal-inspired restaurant on 12 South.

Whether you’re in marketing or music, connecting with people and building relationships is key to success. Treat yourself to a happy hour cocktail with a business prospect at:

  1. Pinewood Social—Enjoy a craft cocktail and fried broccoli while bowling (yes, they have a bowling alley!) or lounging outside by the pool.
  2. L.A. Jackson—One of our favorite rooftop destinations for a celebratory drink with a great view of downtown Nashville.
  3. UP Rooftop Lounge—An incredible skyline view matched with great appetizers, drinks, and top-notch customer service.
  4. Prima—Amazing steakhouse in The Gulch. Their cheese board is a great starter.
  5. Whiskey Kitchen—Upbeat atmosphere with outdoor seating options. Order a side of sweet potato fries and jalapeno ketchup.

Don’t wait for a holiday to celebrate. Top off a successful day at:

  1. Butchertown Hall—Farm-to-table destination in the heart of Germantown. Cocktails, appetizers, and entrees featuring incredible smoked meats.
  2. Fin & Pearl—Known for their seafood. Terrific place for dinner, but we also love to visit in the morning for their unique breakfast plates.
  3. Husk—New Southern cuisine from Chef Sean Brock, one of Charleston’s most decorated culinarians. Updated twice daily, their evolving menu features produce from the restaurant garden and lowcountry ingredients.
  4. Bricktop’s— A must-visit every time we are together. Palm Beach salad, lobster bisque, and fish and chips top the list.
  5. The Palm—Perfect steakhouse for any client dinner or company party. Positioned directly across from Bridgestone Arena and one block from historic Broadway.

If you’re planning a business trip, family vacation, or college visit to Nashville, we’d love to share our growing list of favorites with you.
