Launching Grit & Gravitas Podcast

On January 15, 2021, Anne Deeter Gallaher, CEO of Deeter Gallaher Group, and Anne Carnathan, President of Universal Media Inc., (UMI), recorded their first podcast episode of Grit & Gravitas: Savvy, Spirited Stories of Success. The idea came from many conversations between the CEOs where Anne and Anne segued into how they reached their high gears, their career influencers, setbacks and comebacks, and conversations about sales. The two have different paths to leadership and success and Anne C. said, “We need to do something with all these nuggets. Do you want to do a podcast?”

 

With no technical experience producing a podcast but a deep conviction that they could shorten the learning curves of businesswomen, they jumped in head-first and Grit & Gravitas was born. From concept to graphics to the G&G brand creation, they are nearly 40 episodes in with no plans to slow down! FACT: Most podcasts suffer podfade by their seventh episode.

 

‘There are 2 million podcasts; 94% of podcast listeners are on at least 1 social channel, 51% of US population listened to a podcast; listeners are loyal, affluent, educated,’” says Gallaher. “And 71% of Millennials and Gen Z listen to podcasts.”
