Marisa S. Corser

Since 2008, Marisa has served as Communications Strategist at Deeter Gallaher Group LLC, a PR, marketing, and digital media firm with offices in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and Nashville, Tennessee.

With over 20 years of corporate and industry marketing communications experience, Marisa brings a deep belief that people + purpose are a business elixir. With the art of a storyteller and a passion for words, she taps the emotion and drive in every client to create compelling campaigns, messages, and customer connections. She has served as communications director for the Pennsylvania Bankers Association, public relations coordinator for the Pennsylvania State House Republican Caucus, and marketing and PR director for the West Shore Chamber of Commerce.

Marisa deftly balances the power of messaging with deliverable ROI to the clients. She is both President and Communications Coordinator for Lakeshore Middle School PTO in Mooresville, North Carolina, co-founder of Hallmark Fans of When Calls the Heart Facebook Group – The Official Home of the Hearties, now 84,000 members strong, a former co-chair of the Business Women’s Forum Marketing and PR Committee, and a co-founder of Harrisburg Social Media Club. In 2016, she published her first short story, The Graveyard Shift. She served as a principal editor for Women in High Gear and Students in High Gear, both authored by Anne Deeter Gallaher and Amy Howell, and has edited multiple academic books and essays. Deeter Gallaher Group is a winner of 16 International Association of Business Communicators awards for communications and marketing excellence and 6 Public Relations Society of America Keystone Awards. An avid reader, gourmet cook, and home decorator, Marisa lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with her husband and two sons.

Marisa holds a bachelor’s degree in English/Communications and a master’s degree in Corporate Communications.
