Since 2008, Marisa has served as Communications Strategist at Deeter Gallaher Group LLC, a PR, marketing, and digital media firm headquartered in Camp Hill, PA.
With over 25 years of corporate and industry marketing communications experience, Marisa deftly balances the power of messaging with deliverable ROI to the clients. With the art of a storyteller and a passion for words, she taps into the emotion and why of every client to deliver compelling campaigns, messages, and customer connections.
She is a social media ambassador for Beyond Type 1, formerly the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, co?founder of Hallmark Fans When Calls the Heart Facebook Group – The Official Home of the Hearties, now in its 12th season, and sings in her church choir. A published author, Marisa served as the principal editor for Women in High Gear and Students in High Gear, both authored by Anne Deeter Gallaher and Amy Howell, and has edited numerous books, essays, and short stories. Deeter Gallaher Group is the winner of over 32 industry awards for excellence in PR, marketing, and communications.
When Marisa isn’t reading, writing, home decorating, rooting for her beloved football team (Go Bills!), or walking her dog, Biscuit, you’ll find her cheering on the sidelines at her sons’ basketball games, cross?country races, and track meets. She lives in Mooresville, NC, a Charlotte suburb, with her husband and two Gen Z sons. Marisa holds a bachelor’s degree in English/ Communications from Canisius University, Buffalo, NY, and a master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA.
